" Interestingly, this project has been a real ‘experiment’ for me. I deliberately wanted to work with the next generation of talent, which is why I chose Jessie to be both Exec and line producer for a film that would normally have been given to someone much older and with more experience. Same with my editor, DoP, composer and other members of the team. Which is why I am so pleased that Aaron was able to be a major part of the outcome. A crew of three of us shot the entire film, across all locations, using the next generation of cameras and equipment as well. It’s been invigorating and inspiring for me to work with such a great and committed group of young talent and I think some of that energy has found it’s way on the the screen.
For me personally, this is a direction I’ve been pursuing - to give younger people real responsibility and opportunity, something they don’t appear to be getting too much of elsewhere in the industry.
