Telestron recreates one of the ancient world’s most sought-after immersive experiences. Each year, thousands of people would travel to the Greek festival at Eleusis to participate in a ritual that “harnessed the spiritual forces of nature to create a transformative experience.”
This year’s Day for Night headline installation is housed in a darkened chamber, the Telestron (an adaptation of the original Telesterion), which deploys cutting-edge robotic and light projection technology to bring its audience into an experience of the diurnal cycle (sunrise, noon, sunset, and midnight). In other words: a complete day and night.
