This video game cinematic was a passion project of Jumbla’s Creative Director Callan Woolcock, who wanted to explore the capabilities of After Effects plugin Element 3D. Valley of the Kith proves that this animation approach can create high-quality cinematic work with great efficiency.
By almost exclusively using Element 3D, Callan and his team were afforded a number of advantages. There was no rigid workflow, less backtracking, and fewer hands on deck. The final piece also imagines a visually rich scenario, reminiscent of many video games.
