Dezeen and MINI are travelling the world together this year, visiting eight cities to discover the most exciting new talents, the hottest trends and most important themes in architecture and design in 2013.
Our Dezeen and MINI World Tour will take in a selection of the best international fairs, conferences and festivals, where we'll be conducting interviews, making videos and reporting on the most interesting developments.
Our first stop is Cape Town, where we'll be at the Design Indaba conference from 27 February – 1 March. Then we're off to Milan for the Salone Internazionale del Mobile - the world's most important design fair. This takes place from 9-14 April.
Our third stop is New York for the International Contemporary Furniture Fair from 18-21 May, followed by DMY in Berlin from 5-9 June.
From 14-22 September we'll be in London for the London Design Festival, after which we're dashing straight off to Beijing for Beijing Design Week (dates TBC).
October sees us heading to Singapore for the World Architecture Festivaland the INSIDE festival from 2-4 October, and finally we head for Eindhoven, the smallest city on our itinerary, for Dutch Design Week (19-27 October).
We'll be publishing everything we find on our special Dezeen World Tour With MINI microsite where, taken together, they'll add up to a unique picture of the global design scene throughout the year.
At the end of the year we'll jointly host Dezeen and MINI Gathering, a unique event in London, which will bring together the highlights from our travels. The event will feature speakers, conversations, music and much more. What's more it will be completely free.
