Two Mercedes-Benz cars appear to soar through the sky in British designer Gerry Judah's latest installation for the Goodwood auto show.
Installed for the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend, Gerry Judah's steel sculpture arced 26-metres high over Goodwood House in West Sussex, UK.
Two curved elements meet in the air in front of the building, each supporting silver Mercedes-Benz cars positioned to look like they're hurtling past each other.
A 1934 Mercedes-Benz W25 racing car, celebrating it's 80th anniversary, is positioned facing the ground at the end of one bowed trail.
Mercedes' W04 Formula 1 car, raced by driver Lewis Hamilton in 15 Grand Prix last year, points in the other direction.
The cars are examples of the brand's Silver Arrows, named because after the 1934 model was stripped of its lead-based white paint. Subsequent designs have been silver ever since.
Engineered by Capita and fabricated by Littlehampton Welding, the installation weighs 160 tonnes and measures 90 metres in length.
Each year Judah designs a new giant sculpture for the festival, using cars from different auto brands as the prominent features.
