Sixty40 was briefed by Ogilvy & Mather to animate 2 cinema spots to promote American Express card offerings. Sixty40 was the first company outside Kuntzel & Deygas in France to be asked to extend the established handmade, cutout 2d style into a delicious 3D animation for cinema.
“Dandelion” reveals hundreds of tiny airplanes being blown dislodgedfrom a feild of dandelion flowers. In one continuous camera move we travel from a grassy paddock, into a subtly choreographed release of traveling airplanes then out to show people watching in Gold Class seats in the cinema.
Created at 2k resolution Combined with Dolby Surround Sound the aim is to create a big cinematic feeling in these very stylised, simple feeling spots.
