The Vale of Glamorgan is a lovely county in South Wales that stretches from Cardiff to Bridgend. They came to Engine Creative with the idea of creating a tourism brand campaign that lifted the lid on the stories behind local historical sites.
You see, there was a problem. People were coming to the big towns like Cowbridge – but they had no idea of the hidden treasures to be found just around the corner. Castle ruins, neolithic burial grounds and even the site where Marconi first tested his most famous invention – radio.
The films introduce the visitors to some of the hidden stories that surround them.
Explore & More had its grand opening on the 20th May 2011. Our films played on a big screen and the attendees got the chance to view them on the lovely looking branded kiosks. The event gave us the rare opportunity to see people actively engaging with the films and being excited by them – thanks in no small part to a wonderful performance by Ifan Huw Dafydd. The overwhelmingly positive feedback made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
