A+C Studios were approached by social agency That Lot, HTC and Spotify; to create a film for a new tool which analyzes a HTC’s user’s selfie to determine a musical playlist that suits his or hers expression.
We’ve all been there- you’re certainly up for some tunes, but you don’t know which tunes and you’re not exactly sure what is you’re feeling anyway. Now, HTC and Spotify have brilliantly teamed up to create a tool that can analyze a user’s mood based on a selfie, and then create a playlist that fits the listener’s feelings.
Animated using motion graphics, the film shows how HTC’s Mood Player works to become intuitively you to deliver tailored tunes for every moment. Whatever your mood, all you need to do is take a selfie and HTC and Spotify will create a playlist to match it!
And — believe it or not — this animation was created in two days!
Alex Underwood, Head of Global Agency & Partnerships at Spotify, said: “At Spotify we love working with partners that provide, or enable, music fans with the opportunity to create the best listening experience. The HTC Mood Player, which matches music to your mood wherever you are, is a truly innovative and ground-breaking way of doing this.”
A+C are proud to be a part of a project that reflects the kind of innovative and creative spirit we’re all about- and needless to say we’re practicing our selfies already!
The HTC Mood Player is being launched in Europe to coincide with the HTC Desire 626 and the film will be broadcast online, across web and social channels.
