Writer / director Michiel ten Kleij was fascinated by film from a young age. He grew up in front of the television where he developed a broad taste in film. With his fascination for ‘the weird and the wonderful’, he turned his personal passion into practice and specialised in fantasy, folklore and fairy tales. He wrote and direct the critically acclaimed Papier Hier as his final exam, which was a fairy tale film with elements of horror, based on the Dutch folkloric character Holle Bolle Gijs. The film was nominated for awards and won several. With a dedication to fantasy and a love for Victorian times, Michiel wrote, direct, shot and edited Steven finds the Treasure in one day in London. Next to that Michiel writes and directs music videos and pursues the goal of creating cool, original content.
