"... that's when police wore shorts!" This affectionate quip is often heard among Singaporeans to describe the passing of time. In this year's NDP jubilee celebrations, we paid tribute to our first parade RSM (in his temasek green uniform) and also met up with his predecessor 50 years down the road. Times have changed. NDP performances may have become more glitzy and the fireworks displays may have become more spectacular, but some traditions stay the same.
