The brief was simple. Round up a bunch of kids, have them talk about why they love poems and edit the clips into a half a minute long promo spot teasing Disney Junior's 'A Poem Is..." series of interstitial. Thankfully for once, what on paper appeared straight forward, translated exactly to reality even if it was a mammoth task scheduling 15 kids into a 10hour shoot day.
Good thing then that the previously unpredictable weather decided to bless us with a gorgeous, sunny day and blue skies and not even the slightest whiff of rain. We were also fortunate that the 15 kids delivered performances that sometimes had us in stitches from the sheer hilarity of what they said but mostly in delight from the adorable and endearing soundbites they shared with us.
With no margin for error as we were filming with natural light, we managed to wrap up everything on time for what proved to be an entirely satisfying shoot.
