BURGER KING "NEVER CHICKEN OUT"

Over the past few years the online medium has been ripe pickings for agencies and advertisers looking for a quick and dirty way of engaging their target audience.
And so it proved with Burger King’s ‘Never Chicken Out’ campaign to promote their newest range of Chicken themed products. Referencing popular user generated viral videos that had been the rage over the web in Singapore, the campaign successfully used these common reference points to its advantage.
In this clip, a girlfriend quarrels with her other half and insults his manhood. A similar viral video that someone had surreptiously captured of the real couple arguing can be viewed here: youtube.com/watch?v=jHld5MmIifY Drawing inspiration from the same incident, the agency reinterpreted the same scenario but with a different version of the ending.
Juding from the laughter that emanated from the editing suites during the post production process, the same energy and vibe carried through to the final product. The campaign has since received great acclaim from the local press and has proven hugely popular with the audience as well. We are just glad to be part of the process and are hugely privileged to be able to work with the talented creatives from Publicis on this.
