Produced in 2008, this was directed by Peter Aquilina with Kipling Baker as DOP. Base concept originated from these extraordinary batteries who were able to bounce around from the suburbs to the city and powering up appliances along the way - see the ad here vimeo.com/51127386. This concept is analogized the brand ABC Batteries' origin, from a smaller city Medan in North Sumatra to its present day manufacturing heart in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. The CG was done under supervision of Olivier Welter, who was then working at The Fame, Bangkok. He had to reproducer the thousands of batteries matching the live plates with only a few hundred batteries as well as some of the appliances and bringing them to live. The scene at the main Hotel Indonesia roundabout at the heart of Jakarta was shot between 6 and 8 am on a Sunday morning before the traffic built up.
