THE DAYS 歲月, from director BOI KWONG is based on a true story and tells the tale of Singapore’s young street gangs between 1989 and 1990. In a misguided effort to teach BABY (IVAN LIM 林殿文) independence, and to make him feel protected, ZI LONG (JUSTIN CHAN 陳嘉健) brings him into his own gang of delinquents, introducing him to a very dark world.
MOJO directed, designed and animated the End Credit Sequence, which condensed the essence of the entire movie and re-interpreted as a 2min 30secs animation that tells the story of how a little boy (representing the younger brother in the movie) was embroiled in a world of youth gangsters, how he observed and was influenced, and eventually got trapped within the world of vice and violence. An illustration style that was based on early Hong Kong KungFu comics (what the kids of those days grew up reading) was adopted, together with psychedelic colours and complete with gaudy patterns. Played to the rock song "My Freedom", originally composed and performed by indie rock band BLACK FOREST, the end credit sequence succeeded in giving audience an adrenaline rush as the movie played to an end.
