A good project starts with the perfect brief! This is exactly what our team got from a branding agency Fedoriv to create a series of 15"-video with a trendy glitch effect. The client is a ticket operator Concert.ua, for whom Fedoriv carried out a redesign project at the end of the last year.

Liosha Say, a director: “The world in our video is both nominal and real, and the glitch effect is only a metaphor of the emotional state of our characters. It was important not to let this special effect become an independent element. Therefore, we bet on glitches not too visually complicated, which firstly worked with music, and then surprised. To enhance the effect of presence, we used a “live” camera to shoot a background, but to keep background lightning we chose a static camera to shoot the main characters on the rear screen. For editing it was significant to keep lightning, so we had to “rotate” the hero around his axis, “go around of” him with the camera. Cause the less post production elements during the shooting you have, the more alive story you get at the end.”
Olexiy Gontcharouck, a post production studio Antistatic Pictures: “If the shooting of all characters was quite similar, on the contrary, the post-production of each video was unique. In case of the office girl we morphed different phases of her motion, retouched the transitional stages and then time displaced that, then "glitched" her by slicing manually. As for the old lady, we made her depth map to create correct masks for large elements that “flies out” as small copies of the heroine at the very beginning. To enlarge boy's ears naturally without any stretching effect, we shot them close up, rotating and in 6K quality. We also morphed different phases of his head motion.”
