Expedia and the Hawaii Tourism Authority partnered with Mustache to create an epic campaign to showcase the spirit of Hawaii -- the Aloha spirit. Our goal was to establish Hawaii and all of its unique islands as a top travel destination full of culture, adventure, serenity, and love.
Based on viewers' real-time reactions to the video, a facial recognition program also determines what kind of traveler they are, and directs them to additional videos, as well as recommendations for a personal travel itinerary to help them experience the most of what Hawaii has to offer.
The expansive nature of the campaign sets out to prove that, in Hawaii, Aloha means more than just hello and goodbye... it's a way of life.
