Initially studying architecture, Shizue saw film as the synthesis of her interests, and began working in Los Angeles, which led to studies in Munich at the University for Television and Film. Her short films range from a documentary on Jackie Chan to a contemporary take on Little Red Riding Hood which have aired on TV stations throughout Europe and have been shown at numerous film festivals. Shizue has been working as a commercials director, since 2000. Her individual approach is both stylish and sensual, always capturing the moment and her feminine sensibilities, setting a different feel for each film.
