Zak Emerson marks the upcoming Jameson Dublin International Film Festival (JDIFF) with two mini-blockbusters that put the viewer dangerously close to the action. Written by Boys & Girls and produced by Blinder in Dublin, the teasers celebrate the festival's reputation for bringing a thrilling line-up of movies to the audience.
Shot by award-winning cinematographer Edouard Grau, the two 30' spots each paint a suspenseful filmic scenario interrupted by a surprise appearance from a viewer, popcorn and all. He blasts straight into the pulse-racing plot, much to the surprise of masked thieves in a tense bank heist and a couple hiding out in a classic horror-movie cabin, leaving them all in a hilariously awkward moment of suspense.
