"Wayang Boy" tells the story of a boy from India named Raja (Denzyl Dharma), who is trying to fit into his new home in Singapore. He finds his passion for the country's culture in the form of dancing and singing, or more specifically in Chinese opera. His teacher (Law Kar-ying) fights to keep Raja's school's Chinese opera troupe from being shut down.
