Experience the National Gallery of Australia through the eyes of one of our young student visitors. At the NGA we offer a host of programs for education groups - from early childhood through to tertiary. Our education programs engage and inspire around 70,000 students each year. Our guides and educators facilitate an encounter with the NGA’s rich collection across areas of Australian art, Asian art, the modern art of Europe and America as well as the largest collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art in the world. We offer discussion based, interactive tours with our guides and educators and hands-on workshop options that include drawing and art making in response to the collection. Australian students and their teachers access our special exhibitions free of charge when booked through our education office. To find out more visit nga.gov.au/education.
