TV1 Rebrand - Afternoon Balloon Ident

zspace was thrilled to pitch for the TV1 Refresh in November 2009, and even more thrilled and honoured to be chosen to complete the task.
The refresh was an exciting challenge; as TV1 had to revise the looks of five mini brands under the one umbrella; Generic, Comedy, Crime, Afternoons, and Groovy Movie. Each look has a different look and feel, whilst still retaining the mother brand’s modern retro vibe.
The process included concepts right through to execution and final delivery. In total, the refresh took 12 weeks to complete.
Karen Tran, Lead Designer, commented “The basic concept for the TV1 brand refresh had been developed by Toscha Irving at TV1. She presented us with her styleframes of a look for their concept. From there, we developed and fleshed out the ideas further, presenting each look with developed storyboards and eventually bringing it all to life.”
