Bon Jovi, NRL and Nine are all in a Week’s Work for zspace
zspace was recently given one week to create a promo for Nine’s Friday Night Football.
With access to the NRL’s footage, used in their commercial, zspace was able to give the promo a nine spin by changing colours, roto work and building a CG stadium.
We took the footage of Jon Bon Jovi, shot in concert in the US, rotoscoped the singer, and dropped him into our newly created CG environment. Our full CG stadium makes Jon appear to be singing directly to Nine’s NRL audience.
zspace also shot a group of cheerleaders on a green screen, adding them to the same CG stadium, to look as though they are right there, performing alongside JBJ.
We also created backdrop boards as a user-friendly After Effects project, enabling Nine to modify times and teams accordingly; allowing maximum flexibility.
The entire promo was sent to Jon Bon Jovi’s management who approved the work without hesitation.
