How does your Daikin remote controller work? First: make sure the remote is always aimed at the indoor unit.
Display (LCD): This displays the current settings. ON/OFF: Press this button once to start the operation and press once again to stop it. TEMPERATURE adjustment: Press the button to change the temperature setting up or down.
FAN setting:(show icon) this selects the airflow rate setting. Press it (icon) to advance the airflow rate setting in sequence (show several icons): automatic, indoor unit quiet – the noise from the unit will become quieter -, low, middle low, middle high or high.(icons changing according to the script). POWERFUL:(show icon). This operation quickly maximizes the cooling or heating effect. This powerful mode ends either automatically after 20 minutes or by pressing the button again. FRONT COVER: (animation) slide the cover to have access to other functions
MODE selector: press this button to select the operation mode: (icon) Automatic cool/heat changeover – this is based on the room and outside temperatures, (icon) Dry – when you want to reduce the room humidity, (icon). Cool – when you want to cool the room (icon). Heat – when you want to heat the room by taking heat from outdoor air to indoors, or (icon). Fan – when you only want activity from the fan. (icons and animation changing according to the script). ECONO and QUIET button (icon buttons): Press to select the desired mode. The ECONO operation (icon) is a function that enables efficient operation by limiting the maximum power consumption. The OUTDOOR UNIT QUIET (icon) operation lowers the noise level of the outdoor unit by changing frequency and fan speed. This can also operate in combination (icon). Press once more (icon button) to cancel the operation. LAMP brightness setting: to set the brightness of the display COMFORT/SENSOR (icon button): Press to select the desired mode: (icon). COMFORT AIRFLOW – the airflow direction will be upward while cooling, and downward while heating. Press once more on the button to cancel the operation. INTELLIGENT EYE. Press the SENSOR button to start the infrared sensor, which will detect the human movement. If no one is in the room for more than 20 minutes, the operation automatically changes to energy saving operation. (icon) Press once more on the button to cancel the operation. This COMFORT AIRFLOW and INTELLIGENT EYE can also operate in combination. SWING: Press the SWING button for adjusting the airflow direction. The horizontal blade will begin to swing. Press SWING again when the flap has reached the desired position. This button () for upper and lower airflow direction, this button (other button) for adjusting the direction to the left or to the right. Press both buttons simultaneously for a combination of directions. Press again both buttons when the flaps have reached the desired position. TIMER ON or TIMER OFF: Press this button for timer function to automatically switch the unit on or off. Press the select button (SELECT) until the desired time is reached. Press Off or On (OFF & ON) again. Off or On will be displayed on the LCD. Press Cancel (CANCEL) to cancel the operation (animation: OFF/ON, on display,
TIMER lamp goes off). WEEKLY TIMER OPERATION: Up to 4 timer settings can be saved for each day of the week. Press this button followed by the (SELECT) button to select the desired day of the week and reservation number followed by Next (NEXT). Press Select (SELECT) to select the desired mode and change the “ON” or “OFF” setting in sequence. Press again NEXT (NEXT) to confirm the mode (animation of blue light on buttons appears during the script). Next step, press Select (SELECT) to select the desired time, followed by NEXT (Next) to confirm. And at last, press select (SELECT) to select the desired temperature followed by Next.
