With the aim of supporting local and african talent and supporting the arts, SABC 2 developed a campaign to show local film talent airing movies that were made in Africa by Africans. SABC 2 turned to production studio Masters & Savant Worldwide to develop the channel branding for the campaign.
Says Roger Smythe, M&S JHB MD, " We developed a promo that would package the SABC 2 Made In Africa festival using a specific African gritty, raw design style and colouring true to african style art. It was important that the promo would truly reflect that the movies shown were African in nature and in content. The movie line up would then be shown within the promo, showcasing what was to come, but within the identity of Made In Africa and SABC 2. In this way, SABC 2 supports the position of supporting African talent."
