Assessing the health impact of a major transportation infrastructure project has not been done before in Hong Kong, but this is exactly what the Airport Authority and its team of consultants are doing as they carry out studies of the airport's planned expansion into a three-runway system. Two key aspects, namely aircraft noise and air pollutants from aircraft emissions and associated aviation activities have been identified.
