To promote a healthy lifestyle, the Airport Authority (AA) supported the "2012 Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Feet of Fire 10km Run" as its title sponsor for the third year. Held on 16 December 2012, the annual signature race saw around 1,000 athletes put their stamina to the test. The AA emerged victorious as the champion and first runner-up in both the male and female groups of the Airport Staff Cup.
