Zhong Qiao, architect, had lived in the heart of Shenzhen for 15 years with his wife and daughter. In 2016, fed up with downtown noise, he moved to the foot of a mountain in northern Shenzhen. Their new home is on the 20th floor of an apartment building. Having been keeping fishes for more than 10 years, Zhong Qiao put in a pond in their 170-square-meter apartment and keeps koi in it, moving outdoor garden indoors.
