In an alley on the Yuyuan Road of Shanghai, designer Ren Peiying and her team renovate a small house of only 25 m2. They make a skylight on the rooftop and a light staircase inside the house. They also add much storage space. As a result, the actual usable area of the building increases to 80 m2 and the whole house looks spacious, clean and well-illuminated.
