Duoji and his wife Karen have been living in a rented apartment. They move once a year, and they spend tens of thousands of yuan on rent every month. They sleep in different beds. They don't have children. They keep each other at arm’s length. They are nonetheless an enviable couple. They both love to collect old things, and just about every piece of furniture in their apartment is second-hand goods bought from all over the world.
