Hong Kong photographer Kurt Tang has 3 nannies. Besides the two related by blood, the 3rd one is Yanjie, the domestic worker for his family for 37 years. Later as an adult, Kurt accidentally found that she’s one of the last generation of self-comb women in China. It was not until then that he realized he know little about this woman who has been looking after him since he was a child. So he decided to visit Xiaolan, Zhongshan, Yanjie’s hometown, to seek for her story.
