In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, nearly all the Chinese women were serving their families at home. One woman named Qiu Jin, however, left her husband. She wore men’s clothes, ran women newspaper and did things men dared not to do. Her life was short but she inspired the whole era.
