During the Wenchuan earthquake, Yang Weihua took a picture named the Saluting Kid which impressed a lot of people. After the earthquake, he went back to the disaster areas every month and recorded local people’s new life with his camera. He kept doing it until he passed away of liver cancer in 2015. This year, his son Yang Bo revisited the 11 families shot by him because the young man wanted to find out why photographing Beichuan was the most important thing to his father even in the last days.
