We had the honour of working on the launch film for the Museum of Chinese In Australia (MOCA).
Whilst opening in 2023, MOCA was created against the backdrop of a rise in race hate, where the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated xenophobia and bigotry toward Asian Australians. Chinatown institutions everywhere began feeling the pressure, before some eventually being forced to shut down.
MOCA is a space for the stories and contributions of Chinese Australians. A home for stories – the monumental, the everyday, the untold, the celebrated, the forgotten.
