A video exploring a comment Daniel Avery made of his own music:
“I’ve become increasingly interested in those moments in a club when the outside world becomes little more than an inconsequential thought at the back of your skull. Eyes closed as opposed to hands in the air. The more time you spend with this idea the deeper you fall.”
The use of thermal imaging along side convectional footage, brings a closer connection to the club environment, by capturing personal, immersive moments in and around the dance floor. Thermal image technology was chosen for it’s ability of creating intimate observations of people by stripping back elements of their visual surroundings, such as strobes and smoke.
A subtle chronological structure is used to deliver the feeling of a night out and to capture the journey of the tune, from beginning to end, with considered moments of music and individuals being further explored through imagery created in the studio.
