Shark attacks and rip currents have been an ongoing danger for surfers and swimmers on the beaches of Australia. Surf lifesaving and patrol teams have begun to utilize DJI’s Phantom 4 drones to more effectively perform rescues and surveillance. In this way, priorities of safety as well as maintaining harmony within the ecosystem can both be addressed.
