About the Work
Located at the foot of Mt. Takao, the TAKAO 599 MUSEUM is a natural history museum incorporating 3 concepts; Sightseeing, Learning, and Cultural Exchange. WOW was in charge of the planning, directing, and visual production for the museum's second projection mapping project, "Visiting Takao."
During the "Visiting Takao" project, an original song with the core theme of "The Circle of Life" was created to go with the projection mapping performance. The song expressed the circulation of the countless little lives within the water-rich environment supporting the many different organisms and lives affecting one another and forming the Takao ecosystem.
作品について
高尾山の麓にある観光・学習・交流の3つのコンセプトを併せ持つ自然史博物館「TAKAO 599 MUSEUM」。WOWは、プロジェクションマッピングの第二弾として「高尾をめぐる」の企画・演出・映像制作を担当。
「高尾をめぐる」では、「いのちのめぐり」を大きなテーマとして、プロジェクションマッピングされる映像と併せてオリジナルソングを制作。水が豊かな自然の中で、多種多様な動植物の命がそれぞれ互いに影響しあい、高尾という生態系を形成し、無数の小さな命たちが循環しながら生きていることを表現した。
