CULAFUL

About the Work
An entertainment facility for children aimed at nurturing their senses and awakening their newfound curiosity called "CULAFUL," opened at Atre Takeshiba with a theme of great nature. WOW was in charge of planning, producing, and creating the main contents in the MOUNTAIN area.
We started the plans with making the screen which takes up half the space look like a scene of nature. The screen projects images that will tickle the children's curiosity such as animals and insects, the growth of plants, the changing climate, storms, and volcanoes with the changing four seasons as its backdrop. By adding creative and dynamic changes in the scenery, such as moving from up in the sky to the other side of the earth, we ensured that the children will not get tired of watching it. Additionally, we designed the background sound to use atmospheric sounds like rain and wind and the sound of insects and animals so that children can focus on playing and create depth to the image on the screen.
We worked on the effects to ensure that this new playground, where image, sound, and space become one, will be filled with the curiosity of the children.

大自然をテーマとした、感性を育み新たな好奇心が芽生える、こどものためのエンターテインメント施設「CULAFUL（キュラフル）」がアトレ竹芝にオープンした。WOWは、MOUNTAINエリア内メインコンテンツの企画・演出・制作を担当。
空間の約半分を占めるスクリーンを、大自然の景色に見立てることから企画をスタート。移り変わっていく四季の景色を舞台に、動物や虫たちの訪れ、植物の成長、天候の変化、嵐、火山など、子供たちの好奇心をくすぐる映像が展開していく。空の上や地球の裏側などへ、場面がダイナミックに変化する演出も取り入れることで、長く見ても飽きさせない工夫を凝らした。また、映像空間に奥行きを与えつつも、子供達が遊びに集中できるよう、雨や風の音、虫や動物たちの声といった環境音を主軸としたサウンドデザインを行なった。
「映像」「音」「空間」が一体となったこの新しい遊び場が、子供たちの好奇心でいっぱいになるような演出を心がけた。
