DAYS of HEAVEN Color Grading Re-Creation

I thought of digging out some old 16mm film footage of my daughters I filmed with the Bolex H16.
I was curious to see the challenges of color grading actual film scans as opposed to using film emulation on digital.
For the reference still, I choose this iconic frame from Terrence Malick's Days of Heaven, from 1978, filmed with 35mm film (don't know which stock).
Malick is one of my fav directors of all times when it comes down to unique imagery and storytelling.
