OZARK Color Grade Re-Creation

So, I went with a 180 degrees direction compared to my last week's Amelie color grading which was quite pushed.
This time I took a stab at the Netflix Ozark series look and I have to say it was one of the most difficult I've done so far.
It looked so innocent on the surface but once you open the hood it had the sophistication of a rocket engine.
Nevertheless, subtlety is still a skill I need to master, so I welcomed the challenge.
CAMERA & CLIP STORY:
Sony a6500 and Slog-2 profile. The clip I filmed in 2017 in Point Lobos, California.
CONCLUSION:
Yes, this proved to be one of the most difficult grade re-creations. Initially, I had a completely different ref still from the movie which I replaced later with the current one since I felt it didn't give me a similar lighting setting.
I am starting to be convinced of one thing in becoming a pro colorist at least for myself: It hurts to grow if that makes any sense.
Insisting on grades like these will make you unlock certain things in your brain that would otherwise remain dormant.
