As Above, So Below is an animated climbing film that explores the impact of climbing tragedy using fictional narrative. The goal of the film is to inspire an emotional response through the transmission of truth and beauty, and foster meaningful conversations within the climbing community.

For anyone who has experienced death in climbing—It leaves a void.... The reality is that climbing accidents and deaths touch almost all of us. And that takes a toll. When all we do to address that toll is share it on the internet for a week, and console ourselves with catchphrases like “s/he died doing what s/he love. The effects last a lot longer, and go a lot deeper than that. I created this because it kept me up at night. I had to get it out of me... It’s time to be honest about the dark side of climbing."
