**Winner - Best Experimental Film (Los Angeles Film Awards)
During this world pandemic, many stories of separation emerged. We felt inspired to go out and capture something that reflected the emotion of those divided. After some writing and very creative “problem-solving” (aka production), a story emerged… one that examines multiple real-life quarantine stories with a unique sci-fi twist.
Director's Statement:
Many people around the world have been social distancing, hoping to play their part in reducing the spread of COVID-19. Being shut inside all day has drastically changed one’s lifestyle — leaving you with no choice but to make the most out of seclusion and confinement.
People have found themselves separated from friends, family, and those dearest to them. So how can we be emotionally close, yet physically distant? How can we love each other well when actions speak louder than words? The world is having to figure out what love looks like during the time of the coronavirus. Many believe that the separation will be a way of bringing us closer together — much, much closer.
My hope is that this film is a symbolic message to that.
Safety Statement:
This film was created in compliance with the CDC recommendations, applying adequate safety precautions and guidelines. It followed the State of Texas and US Federal Government mandates around COVID-19. Cast and crew were extremely limited, volunteer-based, and operated under strict safety protocols.
