"Understanding Altered Reality in Dementia" is a 7-minute animated short commissioned by NHS Education for Scotland, designed to educate dementia care staff. It deals with four separate scenarios based on situations that a person living with dementia and those around them, be it family members or care staff, may be likely to be involved in, and offers ways to correctly navigate them. The scenarios are designed to reflect the point of view of the person living with dementia, which is why POV shots are prevalent throughout the scenarios, while the explainers in-between, such as this excerpt, are more direct.
