In 2020 we were commissioned to create a driving experience show of Formula E within the brand new Nissan Pavilion in Yokohama, as part of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games celebration.
The installation was completed in time but the pandemic has changed the course of events. For the first time since the Second World War the Olympic Games were postponed. Only local residents were able to visit Nissan Pavilion.
We created an interactive cinema, where every guest could feel what it’s like to drive an electric racing car. A thirty-meter curved screen and floor projection allowed to plunge into atmosphere of the race. Special sound effects and kinetic floor synchronized with the content gave a true feeling of being in the cockpit of a race car. Pushing the buttons the participants could make choice of scenario and decide how the race would go on, change locations and overtake their rivals.
