‘I am from the countryside and being my true self has been as easy as difficult. In the countryside, I was often seen as different, but people in Tokyo, especially in Harajuku, accept me for who I am. I can own my style now, no matter what, because I’ve learnt how to love myself. I feel cute and shining. I am flattered that people like that I am “kawaii”. I hope everyone can embrace their true selves.
本来の自分でいることは、簡単なことのようで難しいことだと思います。
周りになんて言われようと私のスタイルを貫き通すのは、今の自分が大好きだからです。誰よりも可愛いし、誰よりも輝いていると思ってます。その私を「kawaii」「好き」だと言ってくれる方がいることは、とても嬉しいし、皆も自分の好きな自分でいてほしいと思います。’
