Biography
Noura is an Egyptian 2D animator studying MA Animation at UAL: London College of Communications. Driven by a passion for the age-old art of moving hand-drawn images, and eager to enhance her abilities in order to excel, not only in technical skill, but in broadening her perspectives and stretching out everlasting curiosity.
Director statement:

Pianola is a wooden mutoscope allowing a brief peek into a woven memory, that ties the past, present, and the future together. It acts as a type of cognitive time-capsule device, designed to preserve human memories in the form of moving picture. It’s meant to stimulate nostalgia, a feeling that brings to mind cherished experiences that assure us we are valued people who have meaningful lives, and by extension helping us form a more positive sense of self.
