This very special film was commissioned by the UNHCR, based on the words of a poem written by the magnificent Neil Gaiman. Using crowdsourced drawings from Neil Gaiman fans all over the world and working with a small team of dedicated animators, it was our privilege and honour to bring the words of this poem to life.
Many displaced families are living in informal tented settlements or unfinished buildings, in flimsy homes that provide little protection from the cold and damp. They are especially vulnerable as temperatures plummet below zero and winter storms wreak havoc in camps and settlements.
“What You Need to be Warm”, inspired by words and memories shared by supporters. The poem raised awareness and funds that helped displaced families access warm clothing, fuel, heaters and insulation for their shelters.
