After quite some time working towards the perfect König Rotbier-wave, we are very proud to reveal the final result of our cooperation with König. The challenge was to create an immersive CGI-dive into the magical world of red lager beer, making the beer wave appear as vivid and real as possible. Special malts gives the beer its golden red color - still, it's incredibly mild to taste. Take a look and be refreshed!

Our biggest challenge was to use the tools Houdini and Redshift to generate a photorealistic foam wave from beer that behaves like a real one. So we had to approach the setup for a very long time and try a lot of things. More effects & details to make it look even more realistic were done with the final compositing in Nuke.
