Yoshi Presents ‘Onko Chishin’ | Absolute Beginners | Dazed and Gucci

Gucci Absolute Beginners is a new series in collaboration with Dazed that challenged a selection of nine artists to do something they’ve never done before: get behind the camera and into the director’s seat. Each of the talents developed their own screenplay and brought it to life by stepping behind the camera and directing their own short film.
‘Onko Chishi’ by Yoshi is an exploration of self, a story told through the streets of the Tokyo district where he grew up. On the film he created, the first-time director said “I’m happy to have been able to express what I have always learned by facing myself this time. I've been facing and thinking about insecurity, fear, and negative mindset ever since the corona situation of this year. That's what I've expressed in this movie.”
To celebrate the film series across social media, Dazed and Gucci reached out to Morgan Presley, the creator behind Tik Tok’s #GucciModelChallenge, to kick off #GucciAbsoluteBeginners guide to living a Gucci life.
