Reversible Rotation - Continuous, Cold Light
The Spatial Calligraphy rotates in the artwork space, every aspect rotating in the same direction, but depending on a viewer’s perception, it can appear to be rotating clockwise or counterclockwise. Both ends of the artwork are connected creating a space that is continuous in a single direction.
Spatial Calligraphy offers a contemporary interpretation of traditional Japanese sho (calligraphy) in an abstract space. The artwork reconstructs Japanese sho in three dimensional space and expresses the depth, speed and power of the brush stroke.

書かれた空書は作品空間の中を全て同一方向に回転しているが、意識によって、左回りにもなり、右回りにもなる。両端はつながっており作品空間はひとつながりに続いている。
空書とは、空間に書く書。書の墨跡が持つ、深さや速さ、力の強さのようなものを、新たな解釈で空間に立体的に再構築している。
